Uptime monitoring and a status page, measured from outside
Tegra Uptime watches your websites and services around the clock from several measuring points outside your own systems, tells you by e-mail when something is down, and gives you a status page you can share with customers and management.
Create free account (beta; the account pages are in Danish)
What you get
- Checks every 60 seconds on the free plan, down to every 15 seconds on Pro, with the expected status code and optionally a word that must be on the page.
- Several measuring points. Downtime counts when more than half of the points that measure your system see an error twice in a row, so a network problem in one place gives no false alarm.
- E-mail alerts when a system goes down and when it is back, combined into one mail when several fail at once.
- A public status page with current status, uptime for the last 90 days and recent incidents.
- Two uptime figures: with and without planned maintenance (Pro), so management gets the number that counts and nothing is hidden.
- Login with two-step verification, and Danish-run operation with a data processing agreement.
Plans
- Free (available now, beta): up to 3 websites, every 60 seconds, up to two measuring points, a public status page, 30 days of history, e-mail alerts to one recipient.
- Standard: down to every 30 seconds, more kinds of checks (mail, DNS, SFTP/SSH), up to 3 users and recipients, 12 months of history, SMS alerts (roadmap). Contact us (the form is in Danish).
- Pro: down to every 15 seconds, service windows for planned maintenance, extended uptime reports for management, 36 months of history, no limit on users, plus SLA per service or group with opening hours and maintenance mode through the API (both roadmap). Contact us.
Prices for Standard and Pro are not final. The Danish front page has the details.
On the roadmap
Planned, not built, and not a promise of a date.
- SMS alerts (Standard and Pro), first for Danish and Greenlandic mobile numbers. A number is checked for format and confirmed with a code before use, and delivery is reported back.
- SLA per service or group (Pro) with opening hours, for example weekdays 07-17 or every day 05-14. Only time inside the hours counts. Public holidays are not included at first.
- Maintenance mode through the API (Pro): a script can put a service in maintenance and take it out again, logged as a service window.

Questions and answers about uptime monitoring
What is uptime monitoring?
Uptime monitoring means a program checks your website or service from the outside at regular intervals and tells you when it stops answering, so you learn about downtime before your customers do.
How does Tegra Uptime measure?
We fetch your page like a visitor would, every 60 seconds on the free plan and down to every 15 seconds on Pro. Measurements come from several measuring points, and downtime only counts when more than half of them see the error twice in a row, so a problem in one place does not cause a false alarm.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The free plan monitors up to three websites (HTTP/HTTPS) every minute, gives you a public status page and sends an alert by e-mail to one recipient. The service is in beta, so it is under test and may change.
How do I get notified when my website is down?
We send an e-mail when a system has been down for two measurements in a row, and another when it answers again. Alerts for several systems at once are combined into one mail.
What is the difference between uptime with and without planned maintenance?
Planned maintenance can be entered as service windows (Pro). The time in a window is taken out of both the downtime and the monitored time, and we always show uptime both with and without maintenance, so nothing is hidden.
Can I allow your measuring points in my firewall?
That is the plan: we will publish the IP addresses and countries of our measuring points so you can whitelist them. Get in touch if you need them now.
Who runs Tegra Uptime?
Tegra Uptime is run by Tegra Systems (Talgård Consulting, Denmark) and is used by Tegra itself to monitor Tegra’s other services.
